U.S. Representative Nellie Pou, a Democrat representing New Jersey's 9th Congressional District, voted against a proposed appropriations amendment that would have eliminated all U.S. funding for Israel.

The amendment sought to zero out resources for Israel aid, the Middle East Partnership for Peace program, the Middle East Regional Cooperation initiative, and refugee resettlement funding in Israel.

Pou's vote reflects her position on maintaining the long-standing U.S.-Israel relationship.
